Ben Kain(26-46, 262 yds) tossed a 3rd QT
- 10yd TD pass to Bryce Holm(11-123yds)
and scored from a yard out with 5:59 to go to bring the CARDS
within a TD. GSL ended the CARDS upset bid with a INT with 1:47
remaining. Trailing 20-0 Adam Schultz(10-98yds rec) sparked the
CARDS 2nd half comeback with a 82yd KO return. Wilken & Peymann(5-41yds
rec) led the "D" with 8 tackles each and Joey Duflo recovered a
fumble forced by Chris Hiede & Levi Becker

SECTION 3AAA PLAYOFFS - CARDS 35, Redwood
Valley 7 ~ Borchardt(24-226yds) after
a scoreless 3QT scored the CARDS final TD on a 82yd run his 3rd
of the game(3yd & 5yd TDs). Schultz(3-28yds rec) &
Peymann(2-28yds rec) caught a 7yd & 26yd TD passes from
Kain(7-13-74yds). DL Branch Johnson, Becker, Wilken and Asmus
stymied drives and a couple of 4th downs tries, and a goal line
stand after a CARD miscue on their own 5yd line

Colton Higgins recovered a fumble, bloked a punt for a
safety and had an interception to lead the CARDS past the
Saints. Borchardt(20-156yds) scored twice, Schultz(7-94yds-rec)
returned the safety free kick 63yds for a TD. QB Kain(14-21-192yds)
ran 7yds for a TD and toss a TD pass WR Bryce Holm(4-60yds) -
Kyle Guetter had 3 catches for 37yds. TE
Peymann picked off a pass and also caught a TD pass from QB Luke
Hested.

Schultz(rec5-156) scored 5 TDs in the 1st half. His
opening TD-KO return was negated by a penalty. Schultz returned
two INTs(33-45yds) and a punt 82yds also caught two(27-74yds)
from Kain(8-12-190). Kyle Guetter had a 7yd TD run, Kain also
adde a 20yd TD keeper. Peymann and Verhaal led the "D" - Marcus
Asmus and Joey Duflo had INTs, Schultz added a stripped fum-rec.
Higgins recovered a fumble caused by Ross Wilken.

Logan Peymann's 66yd TD-INT return with 2:59 in
the 4th QT made sure the "Little Brown Jug" would stay with the
CARDS for another year. Borchardt's(22-172yds) 58yd TD run and
Kain's(14-21-151yds) to Schultz(9-108yds 23yd TD gave the CARDS
a 14-0 halftime lead. The Kain/Schultz 20 yd flea flicker
accounted for the CARDS other score. Schultz added 2INTs, LBs
Marcus Asmus 12 tackles, Ross Wilken 11
tackles, Becker and Peymann led the "D"
