Trailing 14-7 Kain scored on a 3QT 16yd TD run & tossed a 4QT 64yd bomb to Alek Borchardt(2-74yds rec). GLS last second  FG attempt missed wide left. Martin rushed for 55yds on 15 carries. Holm(6-78yds) & Schultz(4-43Yds) led the receiving corps. LBs Wilken-Asmus, DBs Gratz-Ruen and the "D" line held the Panthers a TD below their season ave. K Buddy Anderson & the CARDS were perfect for the game on their XPTs for the first time this season. Section 3AAA Playoffs - CARDS 33, Montevideo 7 RECAP - Kyle Guetter scored twice - 2yd run(1QT) & 9yd yard catch(3QT) to help the CARDS down Montevideo. The CARDS led 13-7 at the half. Borchardt added 17yd TD catch & 3INTs. DE Justin Barnes also had an incredible tip to himself falling INT. Kain also hit Holm with a 25yd strike. Ruen had a fumble recovery, Ricard recorded sacks. Section 3AAA Playoffs - CARDS 33, Dassel Cokato 28 RECAP -  Alek Borchardt scored twice - 10 yard catch(1QT) & a 1yd run(4QT) to help the CARDS down Dassel Cokato in Section 3AAA semi-final playoffs. The CARDS led 14-7 at the half, Martin(18-130yds) scored the other 1st half TD - then added the game winner with 3:32 to go. The "D" led by Wilken, Colton Hines & Barnes held the Chargers at the end. Kain(8-20-141yds) hit Schultz for a 3QT 18yd TD CARDS 47, New Ulm 14 RECAP -  Jay Ruen had 2INTs, Justin Barnes added another and Ryan Noll recovered a fumble as the CARDS "D" shut down the Eagles. Bryce Holm(5-83yds) caught 3TD(30-25-2yds) passes from Ben Kain(9-11 121yds). Brandon Martin(15-100yds) added 2TDs, Alek Borchardt(9-97yds) added a 10yd score while Mitch Pfingsten connected with Kyle Guetter for a 2yd TD CARDS 15, BEA 13 RECAP - Carson Ricard and the CARD "D" held at the end after Justin Barnes punt pinned BEA deep in their own territory late in the 4th. Adam Schultz(3rec-16yds) returned the opening kickoff 85 yards, Alex Borchardt(2rec-9yds) carried in the 2PT conversion. BEA added a TD just before the half to make it a 8-6. Ben Kain(8-16 41yds) hit Levi Becker(2rec-10yds) with 2yd TD pass & with Buddy Anderson's XPT in the 3rd. Brandon Martin added a 100yds on 21 carries. Wilken & Asmus stopped BEA's 2 XPT attempt. Ruen had key 3rd QT INT CARDS 65, St James 13 RECAP - DB Ben Gratz's INT led to one of Martin's(10-136yds) 4TDs including a 50yd run, Borchardt(6-101yds) scored on a 39yd jaunt. Kain(5-9-119yds) hit Levi Becker with a 30yd strike and scampered in from 27yds. Mitch Pfingsten threw a 30yd TD bomb to Mark Frechte. DE's Ricard & Barnes blocked punts leading to scores - Ryan Noll scored on a 26yd return & the latter resulting in a safety.
