The #6th ranked girls, 10am & the #12th ranked boys 11am, teams will make a trip to St Olaf College, Northfield Sat, Nov 1. The girls won the Section 2A Meet at Montgomery & the boys finished 2nd to JCC. The top 10 Individuals qualify for State & top 15 are All-Section, they include: Lauren Friese(2nd overall), Laura Hamp(7th), Jami Riley(15th), Derek Ziegelman(5th) & Sam Viesselman(11th)

 RB Taylor Kotewa(18-107yds) scored his second TD from 29yds out to give the CARDS a 14-8 lead in the 4th QT. Then LBs Kotewa(22 tackles), Cody Vanasse, Brock Frolick & DEs Austin Smyth, Weston Bremer held the Trojans to just 6 more pts. The CARD "D" stopped Worthington several times inside the 20 during the contest and got INTs by Brennan Holm(3-34yds rec) & Joe Duflo. QB Justin Heinrich(6-11-79yds) hit Holm with key 1st down passes on 3rd downs. Richie Haycraft(18-56yds) scored the other CARD TD. Kotewa and FB Conner Guetter ran out the clock on the Trojans.

The CARDS went for the win and fell short as the two point conversion failed with just over a minute to go. The onside kick was recovered by the Tigers. WR Martin Tow(2-38yds) out jumped the Tiger DB and hauled in Justin Heinrich's(10-23-140yds) 30yd pass in the end zone to pull the CARDS within 1 at 1:09 left in the game.
