TE/LB Jay Ruen’s(6rec – 63 yards) 18
yard TD catch after he blocked a punt in
the second quarter gave the Cardinals a
14-0 halftime lead. QB Spencer Chirpich(12
– 14 – 164 yards) tossed a 58 yard
scoring strike to WR Josh Eversman and a
5 yard TD pass to Luke Becker. Chirpich
broke Ben Kain’s single season TD
passing mark of 28. Chirpich now has 30
TD passes on the season. Eversman with
886 yards moved into the number two spot
and single season receiving yardage
moving past Bryce Holm, Adam Schultz is
number one with 920 yards. RB Derek
Edman and 13 carries for 69 yards. LB
Tim Tow had 28 tackles to lead the
defense. LB Joe Weber returned a
fourth-quarter fumble 87 yards for a TD.
CB Parker Monson had an interception.
Kolin Kelly kicked a 25 yard field goal
for the Cards final points. |
