Brady Lubenow's 50 yd opening kickoff return & Paul Mallory's(11-72) 40 yd run on the next play gave the CARDS a 6-0 lead - the defense then shut out The Luverne Cardinals in the first half with a great effort especially in the 2nd QT, but Luverne scored 2 TDs in the third QT to defeat the CARDS 14-6. Marcus Taplin & Matt Klutz led the CARDS defense with 12 tackles each, while Matt Reeve added 10.
