The Cards jumped to an early 14-0 lead after a botched punt snap and a great punt return led to TDs by QB Eric Hugoson on a 1yd sneak & RB Paul Mallory(25-159yds) 8yd run. With the score 14-6 at the half, the Cards RB Mike Berhow's(12-123yds) 14yd 3rd QT TD run were the final points for the Cards. The "D" led by the Matt's - Reeve, Asmus & Klutz, along with LB's Marcus Taplin, LB Cody Vanasse, Taylor Kotewa(block PAT) & DL Dion Tino held on with DB Jake Peymann picking off a pass at the goal line with 1:16 left to go in the game.
